Hong Kong International Lighting Fair 27-30 Oct 2024 and Hong Kong International Outdoor & Tech Light Expo 29 Oct – 1 Nov

The Lighting Council Australia has secured an opportunity through the Hong Kong Trade Development Council to assist members with the cost of attending the above events.

You may choose one option (a) Hotel Sponsorship OR (b) Travel Reimbursement.

The HKTDC will send you a confirmation email after successful registration with the full details of the option you have selected.

Hotel Sponsorship

Terms & Conditions

  1. The HKTDC will sponsor your hotel accommodation in Hong Kong of up to HKD3,000 (about USD385) when you stay at one of our pre-selected hotels:
    • (approx. USD192) HKD 1,500 for 2 days visit at the Fair
    • (approx. USD269) HKD 2,100 for 3 days visit at the Fair
    • (approx. USD385) HKD 3,000 for 4 days visit at the Fair
  2. Your company and you MUST be an OVERSEAS TRADE BUYER in order to claim the above sponsorship programme.
  3. Exhibitors are not eligible for the above sponsorship programme.
  4. Each company and buyer is entitled to ONLY ONE ROOM at ONE HOTEL from 26 Oct-1 Nov 2024 (inclusive). This offer is available on a first-come-first-served basis and subject to room availability.
  5. If the choice of hotel is fully booked, HKTDC will designate a hotel to the applicant.
  6. We will contact you later for credit card details. The hotel will levy one-night charge on your credit card if you do not show up on the specified date.
  7. Once your application has been approved, we will send the acknowledgement letter to you within 7 working days.
  8. You MUST show up at the Fair and complete a questionnaire when collecting the Hotel Sponsorship Voucher at the “Buying Mission Service Counter” with the original copy of passport with landing slip, business card, boarding pass and e-ticket receipt.
  9. HKTDC reserves the rights to vary the terms and conditions, change or terminate the sponsorship programme without any prior notice.
  10. In case of any disputes over the sponsorship programme, the decision of HKTDC shall be final and binding.
Example:  If you booked to stay at Hotel Alexandra the room rate is HK$880 per night and the hotel sponsorship is HK$1500 for 2 nights.  Upon check-out, you pay the difference of HK$260 for 2 nights.

NOTE: Once you’ve decided which one of the pre-selected hotels you would like to stay in the HKTDC we will pass your details to the hotel for room booking. If you do not wish to stay in any of the pre-selected hotels, please select the Travel Reimbursement offer, as the hotels offer would not be applicable to you.

Travel Reimbursement

Terms & Conditions

  1. The HKTDC will sponsor your business trip to Hong Kong of up to HKD1,800 (about USD230) travel reimbursement.
    • Visit the fair for 2 days – HKD1,200 (approx. USD153)
    • Visit the fair for 3 days – HKD1,800 (approx. USD230)
  2. Your company and you MUST be an OVERSEAS TRADE BUYER in order to claim the above sponsorship programme.
  3. Exhibitors are not eligible for the above sponsorship programme.
  4. If your company or you have applied for any other buyer incentive programmes of other concurrent fairs, application for this sponsorship will not be processed.
  5. Each company is entitled to only one offer of travel reimbursement. This offer is available on a first-come-first-served basis.
  6. Once your application has been approved, we will send the acknowledgement letter to you within 7 working days.
  7. You MUST show up at the Fair and complete a questionnaire when collecting travel reimbursement at the “Buying Mission Service Counter” with the original copy of passport with landing slip, business card, boarding pass and e-ticket receipt.
  8. HKTDC reserves the rights to vary the terms and conditions, change or terminate the sponsorship programme without any prior notice.

NOTE:  For travel reimbursement, you collect cash from the designated counter in the Fairground. i.e. HKD1200 for visiting the fair 2 days and HKD1800 for visiting the fair 3 days.
