Lighting Leader Forums February 2025

These forums are designed for MD’s, CEO’s and Senior Leaders. Each session within the February series involved a round table discussion followed by a chance to network with like-minded industry peers.  The February meetings were focused on issues raised by the ACCC.

ACCC focusing on Lighting Industry

The ACCC have advised, over the last 12 months they’ve received complaints that manufacturers and wholesalers in the lighting industry are allegedly engaging in resale price maintenance. The ACCC have taken action against companies for resale price maintenance, resulting in sizable financial penalties.

There are 5 key areas where a supplier could fall foul of the law.  At our Lighting Leaders Forums in February we took a deep dive into each of these and more.  A legal representative guided us through the do’s and don’ts in relation to compliance with the law. Lighting Council Australia will be back with the August 2025 series of Lighting Leader Forums later this year.

Expected dates for the August Forums are: 

Brisbane – Tuesday 19 August

Sydney – Thursday 21 August

Melbourne – Tuesday 26 August

Perth – Thursday 28 August

Venues, keynote speakers and the agenda for the August series will be announced later this year.
